INKBLOT

Inspired by traditional Chinese ink paintings, the Inkblot series examines the way that we view overlooked environmental subjects such as raindrops gently falling onto a reflective surface, stripping them down to their foundational forms of light. Exploring time as defined by these delicate, incremental changes to organic forms allows us to isolate the feeling and atmosphere of each individual moment. Printed on a thicker 310 gsm paper used traditionally for watercolor, the textural quality of the paper references early ink paintings and brings out the dimensionality of each piece.
